Pragg watches the game of his sister Vaishali at the FIDE Grand Swiss 2023 as the latter crushes former World Champion Mariya Muzychuk in 23 moves.
The going has been tough for Praggnanandhaa at the FIDE Grand Swiss 2023. He has had 4 draws out of 4 rounds, but his sister Vaishali has been on fire, scoring 3.5/4.
This is the beautiful thing about the brother sister duo. They both root for each other and support each other so nicely during tournaments.
When Pragg and Vaishali started playing chess at a young age, their parents were in a spot of bother. They didn't have the sufficient funds to support one chess career. Two was close to impossible.
But they persisted and thanks to that this beautiful chess bond exists between them. When Pragg had crossed 2700 Elo in Hungary earlier this year, we asked him if he was touch with Vaishali, and he said, "Every day we would have a call with each other and discuss about the game!"
